Combining Patterns

Im full of tutorials lately. This tutorial is on combining sewing patterns. The last time I used a pattern was about 10 years ago and my grandma Janet could help me then. Since she isn't here to help I wanted to re-learn how to use patterns on my own and then figure out how I could combine patterns to make a whole new pattern. To my surprise I figured them out and made a really cute dress. To learn how you can make your own dress follow my tutorial on Prezi.

Photography 134

I'm taking a photography class and I love it! I'm not nearly as good as Molly but here are a few shots that I like.

 Chase.

This shot and the following are a series about Chase's grandpa Boyd. He was really fun to take pictures with, I gave him ice cream and he was happy as a clam. Boyd is also an amazing painter and i wanted to capture shots of his studio.

DRABULOUS TO FABULOUS!

BEFORE

LET'S FACE IT. WE ALL HAVE A LONELY-LITTLE-WINDOW IN OUR HOUSES THAT COULD USE SOME HELP. GOOD NEWS FOR YOU! I'VE COME UP WITH AN AMAZING SOLUTION THAT EVEN YOU CAN DO. TWO WORDS CORNICE-BOX. THEY LOOK EXPENSIVE/DESIGNER AND COST A FRACTION OF WHAT YOU WOULD PAY TO HAVE THEM MADE...SERIOUSLY!

ALL IT TAKES IS SOME SIMPLE MEASURING, A SEWING MACHINE, HOT-GLUE-GUN, SCREWS, L-BRACKETS, TRIM, CORDING (OPTIONAL), FOAM PADDING, 1 CURTAIN ROD, 1X96X12" WOOD PIECE, FABRIC DRAPE PANELS, FABRIC TO COVER CORNICE-BOX AND A FEW HOURS.

Snow Painting

I spent some time in Midway a few weekends ago and I was inspired by all of the huge snow drifts up there. I decided I wanted to spray paint a mural on them. I didn't end up doing an entire mural, but I got down a moose.

ps. IT looks like a 5 year old did it because spray paint is hard to control!
